Re: GW
That's not even close to a fact.
World of Warcraft is grind-based. Skill hardly matters at all. Guild Wars has some grind in the PvE aspect, but it's almost entirely skill based.
For those who enjoy grind, World of Warcraft is the better game. I'll also admit that World of Warcraft has "deeper" storylines, simply because it's pay to play and very grind based.
Guild Wars is however "free", although their scheme was simply to get people to buy explansions, which essentially amounts to an optional monthly fee to play.
The main things where Guild Wars shines way above WoW are:
1) PvP, the PvP in Guild Wars is basically FPS-style action combined with RTS strategy. It's simply amazing, like a realtime game of Chess.
(Note: When I talk in the present tense I really should be talking in the past, as the PvP has gone downhill due to bad balance changes and mass exodus of the tier one and two players...)
2) Guild Wars doesn't waste your time. World of Warcraft is designed to be a time sink. Guild Wars is not. Which of course makes Guild Wars superior for people who value their time, at least generally speaking...

Re: GW
I'm sure you could still make a few k per run like that, but I'm talking about high-end items. The only stuff worth any thing these days(for a number of reasons) are perfect r7 items and old-school Crysts, and even some of those aren't wort squat anymore. Nothing is rare anymore unless it stopped dropping.JVT wrote:I have not played in ages... did stuff really go down in price? i used to be able to make like 5k a run by doing 1 mission over and over again... :/

Re: GW
Nuckinfuts made my gw bot ive made a little over 50 million.
By the time I got the bot I already had 5 sets of Fow armor
Guild Wars has good pvp.
Im only sitting on 7 stacks of ectos atm :/
Spent alot on maxing 30 titles and filling my hall up with retarded mini pets and Tormented/Destroyer weapons
