Wondering if anyone can help me with this lobby issue

Hello everyone. I am new here but been playing EE for a long time. Anyways i just happen to find this site and was shocked you guys had a work around to play online.
So I DL the lobby,patches and what not and then go into the game and i get this

Now is this normal or am i missing something?? And please forgive if this has been asked before.
I just want to get this working so me and my bud can get online to play some of you guys.

Just click the patch tab on the lobby, apply the direct connect patch, and close then re-run your Empire Earth game.

If you have further issues, consult the F.A.Q. found on the main page, the lobby guides, or the help tab located in the lobby, since nearly every problem everyone ever has is answered there.
