Nah but seriously I've been reading your posts lately and they're one big laugh. At first it seems like you just made this so they could use it if they wanted. Then you make an entire new thread to try to convince them to use it and now you're kind of mad at them for not using it lol. Really it's nice you want to help out, but poor mods lol what are they gonna do about it lol they can't really say to a helpful person that his "icon" infact sucks. You can concider this flame if you want btw Im not a mod and I don't have to act nice to anyone. I agree with taco most your posts make me sick, especially your old sig.

It toke me a week to color the letters in Save-ee,and add shadow,because I had to do it by pixle.

Im not trying to force them to do it,im not mad that no one likes it,im mad that everyone will flame anything they think isn't good.

Icon,Image,Logo,Whatever you call.

The mods don't have to act nice.

Paint.net has a plugin for drop shadow AND glow.
i know for a fact you didnt do that glow or drop shadow by hand, because the glow itself is computer-done.
It's perfectly symmetrical.

Drop shadow has a plugin, so don't even try that crap.

It looks thrown together.
And like i said, being an "intermediate" graphics designer, you should know that paint.net has many of the same functions as photoshop. And you can get them all through plugins.
I'm not even a graphics designer and can make more interesting things through photoshop.

I did make it by hand,want the raw image file,in pdn. format,the save format for Paint.net.

I don't even use any plugins,want a screen shot of my toolbars?

The glow,yes,there is a plugin,it comes standard.

1) You didn't have to do it pixle by pixle.
2) Most people have nicely been telling you they don't like it. VERY few had flames in it. Perhaps you were not trying to "force" them into doing it, but you sure try hard lol

How you made it doesn't matter the fact is you posted it and when you post it you open yourself up for critics to point out your good and bad. And yours is very very pathetic and my opinion is a very casual one on graphics. My advice is keep trying you are going to suck at it for a while.. torrent photoshop read some tutorials my gf has been using photoshop for 17months and is becoming very talented at it, so be patient as well she use to suck as badly as you do.

You have to expect criticism. On any graphic design forum/community, it doesn't matter how good your artwork is. There's always someone there to tell you it looks like shit. OK well maybe not those words exactly, but someone always points out the flaws or gives you something constructive. This is all in order to help you improve, not to drive your confidence into the ground.

And I wanted it to look basic and adaptive,because I didn't know what type of logo you wanted,so this image was ment to be used for a wide range of headers,forums,advertising of Save-ee,customization of the image in order to improve on it,ect.

And yes,I could use Paint.net to make a sig like that,provided I have two images,Paint.net has Layers.

Ok how to improve it:
-Better quality
-Better glow (this quadrat realy looks so much auto-generated lol)
-another font
-make it easier to read especially on dark backgrounds
-Try adding soemthing eye catching. I mean this looks like a 5 min logo which can be autogenerated on free webhosting sites. Try to make it a bit more special etc

But the main thing is: You probly won't get a good quality with glow etc without photoshop and thats why everyone is using ps lol

Thanks Pelie,see,he did something good with his 5 minutes,he told me what I could have done.
I plan on making a better image,maybe it would help if someone* told me what they* want for Save-ee.
