Re: EE CUP 1
thx to all for your feedback I agree with you, this view is far from perfect, its clear that normal view is much better from the aesthetic perspective.CusTomm_ wrote:thx yukon for filmin it.Tho I dont really like the settings of the video. Think it would be much more appealing if it was filmed in the normal way. But I like the summary of the tournament in the end
But this view has avantage of having detailed stats of each player and entire map view. that improve understanding of tactics used in the game and facilitates learning for beginners. nothing prevent us to try a normal view for next tounamenet and see people's reactions.

Re: EE CUP 1
Out of curiosity how much live stats can you actually put on there?
Example:
- How much resources collected (would be even better if u separate the different resources too.. so we can see "who has most gold" etc)
- How much resources not being used
- APM (Playerspeed)
- Map scouted
- Units Killed / lost
- Buildings Killed / lost

hey bro, I feel u have a good idea in mindArntzen wrote:Out of curiosity how much live stats can you actually put on there?

currently i have these values
- How much resources collected (would be even better if u separate the different resources too.. so we can see "who has most gold" etc)
- How much resources not being used
- Units Killed / lost
- Buildings Killed / lost
I dont have theses values, i think ee calculated them at the end of game
- APM (Playerspeed): propably based on Nb of Click and Nb of shortcuts, i have nb click and shortcut in live.
- Map scouted: a bit hard to calculate this value, but not impossible

Re: EE CUP 1
Tho keep in mind, that within both games the micro was a tremendous factor for the win. U cant see any of that in the videos.
Especially next tournament when we might have cav vs cav games the micro will basically be the main element of the games...
Also details like exact tower, exact settlement, idle cits etc are quite hard to see with that view.
As you said u can see the live stats, but u have stats after the game anyway and tbh I wasnt paying attention to them a lot
Its just my personal opinion. You are doing the work so you are going to make the decision.

Re: EE CUP 1
True what customm said. I personally like yukons view very much, but for liga its maybe not the best, since in liga micro is a great deal and specially the army combination. Generally for team games its great to see whats going on everywhere and see stats etc. Like that 4v4 mid he uploaded was very great, far better than seeing only a small part of the map. But for 1v1 games, especially with cavs the Micro is the part deciding, which is better to see in normal view i agree.

Re: EE CUP 1
Talking about what's better between observer view, player point of view or the view we get from EEMAP is missing the point really.
This program is great because it gives us information we would normally miss in either player POV or observer POV. How often haven't we watched a recorded game and wondered "how many citz does the other guy have?", "who is in the lead economically?" etc etc...
Look at this video and you will see that this view is quite useful:
@Drex
Add as many values as you can, even mouse/hotkey click and make a new video so we can see what's worth having and what isn't.
