Screen Resolution

Hey guys, I recently got a new laptop with a screen resolution of 1366 x 768. This causes EE to have 2 large black bars on both sides of the screen. However, when I change the screen resolution in the EE settings to match my screen resolution, nothing changes. Is there any way to fix this?

I have the exact same problem with my laptop. Older drivers of your GPU sometimes works. (for me it didn't, but I know a few people which had the same problem and it worked for them.)

First off all, this is not a "problem". 4:3 makes you see a lot more at the same time than 16:9. The way to "fix" this for me at least, is going into the graphic card administrator -> screen adaptation and tick something like "always full screen" or "scale full screen". Anyway I have it ticked on "keep aspect ratio" because that's just a lot better.

I actually later found out that although the main menu and lobby are not the correct screen resolution, it changes once I start a game.

Correct. The menu/lobby resolution is fixed at 1024x768 (4:3) and can't be changed.
