Hey guys, Death here. It has been a while since i have played the game. I downloaded EEC/AOC off of the website and i am having some issues. I have already tried re-installing once. My EEC is freezing about 15 seconds into the game. On Aoc the game loads, but the loading screen covers my screen, I can use the Tab key and hear the sounds of units selecting and i can use commands but i do not see anything. I am running Windows 7 64 bit, So i run both games in Compatibility mode with Xp Service Pack 3. Here are some screen shots of some settings and what it looks like in game. I have tried messing with resolution a little, but to no avail. My computer runs dual video cards, i only run on one when launching eec/aoc as if i have both running it goes crazy. I have tried running the games on both my primary or my secondary, but nothing has changed. _[eC]_Arntzen_ was not sure what the issue was so he told me to throw a post on the forums to see if any of the admins knew what the issue was.

Running them in compatibility mode is probably your issue. I'm on Windows 7 64 bit as well, and EE works great just running it normally (as admin), making sure that windows defender and windows firewall are off because they're complete shit and also happen to fuck over EE.

In fact, I just tried starting EE under compatibility mode, and it wouldn't even run that way for me. Just a long black screen and a runtime error.

I've never had to use compatibility mode for EE or AoC on Windows XP, Vista 32, Vista 64, 7 32, or 7 64.

Sadly, that is not the problem. Both of the games are responding the same exact way. I ran both without compatibility. I got the download from save-ee. Can you look through the files to see if they match yours(just want to make sure im not missing anything).

I tried turning all my settings to low. Doesn't really make any sense, but the game went about 1 f11 before it froze(i did this a few times to make sure it wasnt a fluke.) so it makes it last about 50 sec longer. I'm not sure why. AOC still will not load in.

Problem Solved. If anyone else runs into this problem. They need to have TnL Active. In Game settings you can activate "Direct3D Hardware TnL." This solved my issue on both EEC and AOC.

after installing GR patches my AOC not running anymore reisntalled all stil... Any ideas?
