Mouse sensitivity
My mouse sensitivity keeps on changing .... i've had this problem since installing the game ranger shit, now i uninstalled it but if i try to fix the mouse sensitivity, chances are the next time i start EE it will have changed into something also, and i have to fix it again.... thing is i play with a REALLY customized mouse setting, hence i need to sort this out.

Re: Mouse sensitivity
I've also had this problem (and still have it actually). Every time I start EE my mouse sensitivity has a rather random value. I "fixed" it the following way:
1) Adjust the ball to the very left/right position
2) If you click right into the mouse sensitivity bar, the ball will move the same discrete amount every time you click .
3) Click until desired sensitivity is reached. Remember how many times you leftclicked (for me its just one)
This became a routine to me: Start EE -> Adjust mouse speed
I doubt this has something to do with gameranger.

Re: Mouse sensitivity
The registry value for mouse sensitivity is in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SSSI\Empire Earth. You could try deleting it, then opening up EE and setting it, and finally checking to see if it retains.

Re: Mouse sensitivity
Okay, now the problem is the following ... whenever I fix it, it's fine in SINGLE PLAYER, even if I restart ..... and the fixes that I do in SP don't really affect the multiplayer.
I change my mouse sensitivity in multiplayer, then when I restart EE everything's back to default (besides, of course the SP mouse sensitivity).
Any ideas on how to fix it?

Re: Mouse sensitivity
idk if there is any file on c:/sierra which saves your sensitivity. But if there is any, you could try setting the proper mouse sensitivity, close EE and make that file Read-Only. Then start EE again.

I basically did what you said, but through the registry. I just checked the values for Mouse Sensitivity and tried them one by one until I found the best one. Then I made them "read only" (had to put the whole EE on read-only since I couldn't do it with just the mouse sensitivity).
If anybody encounters the same problem, feel free to contact me, given I know what a pain in the ass this problem can be.

Re: Mouse sensitivity
If you can write a post with a title like: "SOLVED: Mouse Sensitivity Keeps Changing" and some basic steps people can follow to fix the issue, I'll add it to the solved problems index, which will make it easy for others to find it (or for mods/admins to find it for people who ask them).Samuel wrote:Fixed it.lightnessking. wrote:idk if there is any file on c:/sierra which saves your sensitivity. Re: Mouse sensitivity
Be sure not to select saved games folders as read only lol.... Game might crash if someone tries to save, and your windows is saying: "NOPE, can't save here."Samuel wrote:Fixed it.lightnessking. wrote:idk if there is any file on c:/sierra which saves your sensitivity.
