:P sup noobie
are you talking about the lobby itself?
and if so have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling it?
also make sure all the files are in the same location or it wont start but you prob save everything to desktop for installation too :P

when you get it working we can rematch our space race 8)

is there anyway to download the updates manually instead of using the updater?

and open the lobby without the updater?

tried running it as admin?
but it seems like it may just be unable to connect to host
here is a direct lobby client exe, try that, make sure its in the same area as your lobby update exe, that should either force your update to connect or give you an error you can work with

edit: the lobby also uses IE so make sure you dont have that dissabled

Edit by Ghost:
Download removed

I've attached a zip file containing all required lobby files. Run LobbyClient.exe to start the lobby.

I'm a little skeptical to believe that absolutely nothing happens when you run LobbyUpdate.exe. If the lobby is not working properly, it's almost always something wrong on your end (in this case it definitely is).

The updater should open a window showing the download status of required files, and when the download is finished it should run LobbyClient.exe. If it doesn't do anything and closes, then something else is closing it. If it runs properly and can't download the files you will get an error.

Make sure your shit doesn't it have it flagged as malicious, etc. and also that .NET Framework is installed properly.

yep, definitely something screwy on my end... just tried to run all 3, patchupdate, lobbyupdate, lobbyclient

all to the same result... they show in the taskmanager... and then just stop...

AVG will be deleted tomorrow... will try it then
