Windows 10 NeoEE problems

So I can install the game from my disc just fine. I can play single player and everything. But when I install the NeoEE patchI can still start the game but in the menus when I try to do single player or muliplayer it crashes saying something went wrong. Can someone please help me.

This may happen if your antivirus inteferes badly with NeoEE patch. Try to completely disable it while running EE.

I deactivated my antivirus and started it, but I was plagued with the same problem.
