Found one new thing I had not tried yet as counter measure.. If it doesn't work then we'll go back to manually accepting for a while.

New users should now automatically go into the group "newly registered users" where they cannot send PMs or post links. Maybe that will stop them.

Just saw this bot register, and then leave without posting anything: Anyway, guess we will know soon enough if it works.
