Considering all money donated goes exclusively to paying the cost of the servers/hosting, and that the 'self-righteous ban' you are referring to is really a 'dude requested to get banned and his request got granted just like any such request would have', I really just have to laugh.

It'll get granted all right. People who request bans want banned (shocker). People who want banned can easily just do something bannable, like posting porn or blatantly cheating. Why not oblige their request to be banned in the first place, and avoid the negative shit that follows from someone cheating like a motherfucker so they can get banned?
