i have this computer for a couple of years and the ethernet driver or wat ever u call it use to work and for someone reasons the file is gone and now we cant get it to work. i cnat even use wireless anymore. how can i fix ot or do i have to buy a new one? or can i rebot my pc where everythig just come back to normal.

You might have registry errors, which is usually the problem when you have the correct drivers installed and your hardware suddenly doesn't work. To fix that, you'll have to do some hardcore Google searching or if you have the time and/or know-how, a reformat and reinstall should solve things.

Or do a system restore to a date your computer worked correctly.

thx i try. but the thing is i know how top rebot my laptop but this pc wired when trying to rebot? i have vista btw and my laptop has it to. buts its weird.

P.S. I have "fixed" your post to make as much sense as the original did, but with less words so its more effective!

if your wanting to do a complete format and reinstall of everything just start your computer and hold down the F8 key till your install options come up
1. you can clean swipe everything and start completely fresh
2. you can do a repair of files
3. you can do a reinstall and save all your stored data which will come up in a " BACKUP " folder

or go to device manager see if its detecting your modem at all and try to update the driver or rollback the driver from there to see if it will fix anything
