Zoom Issue - if Joining MP Session as Client

Hi,
I have a very strange error. My friend and I want to play a normal multiplayer session. When he starts the game the game looks normal on him. (Normal view level). When I join the game as a member, the zoom is at about 1m from game floor. I can't zoom out from there, but only zoom in further. In singleplayer the problem is only when I have the Direct3D driver enabled. With the Direct3D TnL driver, the error only occurs in the multiplayer session and only as a member. As a host the problem does not exist (we checked by hosting each other).
Also the mod for the zoom only helps in SinglePlayer, in the multiplayer session it didn't work either.
