ok, when i use swords i dont realy know what i should upgrade, after i'm at 8 so i can choose between atack and hp.
and then i just pick one without knowing whats best, so what should i do?
(btw i always upgrade like this, speed , atack, 2 times arrow armour, health)

all depends in what your aiming for
when i played(((()))))) swords (rush) on wing i was always found myself upgrading in this order
Attack speed hp, you are kinda after attack early just to get those 2 hit kill on cits and as rushing your trying to mass, so by doing the 48 ups first allows you to consistantly make swords still. i end up upgrading like every usual sword player 2x attack 2x hp 1x speed
unless vs a strong cav player 2 hp 1 attack 1 speed arrow armour maxed out.

vs Cav Bow 2xarrow, 2xhp, 1xspeed, 1xatk
vs Sword 1xspeed, 2xatk, 2hp

btw if ur not good at micro, 2xspeed vs cav bow would be ok too, means 2xarrow, 2xhp, 2xspeed.

my standart = 1x attack 2x hp 2x speed. It's quite good for eco killing and micro vs ca

Indeed there is no "best" way of upgrading your swords. Just try to find the one that fits your style the most

i find that 3v3 and 4v4 require much more focus on arrow armor even if u are playing a sword player as there are alot more ppl playing, less pop, and u dont want ur swords dieing to ca, xbows etc. its not a flooding battle where the bigger boom will win,

1v1 or 2v2 it all defense on what they go, whats listed above is generally correct "-vs Cav Bow 2xarrow, 2xhp, 1xspeed, 1xatk
-vs Sword 1xspeed, 2xatk, 2hp" and is the most common, but i think as long as u keep shock armor out and have speed in ur civ +4, ur civ isnt a fail

1 more question for cav arch if you cav arch vs cav arch how do you upgrade it?
i upgrade.
1 speed like always, 1 range 1 atack 1 health 1 atack.

always 2 attack 2 range, vs swords i recomend spd, against ca i usually do hp.. lets them take another hit from balli that way.
agaisnt ca always up ur range 1st(and fairly quickly) so ur ca is on 2, i dont think attack and hp is as important as massing early on, so upgrade in respect to ur army size

vs sword 2xatk, 2xrange, 2xspeed (just 1xspeed and 1xhp is possible too)
vs cav bow 2xatk, 2xrange, 1xspeed, 1xhp (2xspeed possible too, depends on how good the enemy is microing with his cavs)
2xatk, 2xrange and 1xspeed is always needed.

i always do 2 speed 2 range and 1 atk
If a 1v1 vs swords i do 2 speed 1 range 2 atk

but ups are always a bit different

taco is right he has the right ups use them Never do 2x speed cause the first gives your 2 speed whereas the second up only one. So it's only ½ as good as the others. If you're vs swords always upgrade attack fastes, vs ca do range first. In civs I would suggest cr, speed, attack, range.

2 speed ca are amazing at micro and eco killing

not much difference in having 21 speed or 22 actually. I'd much rather have the extra attack, range or hp. the micro wont get much better at a higher speed anyway, they still outrun swords and still np to avoid getting hit by arrows when u have 21...

The benefits of taking an attack or HP upgrade are far greater than that of the second speed upgrade. Trust me. The only time you should have 16+6 speed is if you're making sword cav that need to chase 16+5 speed chariots/CA.

Ghost has it right about the CA for swords never bother getting the 6 speed its mostly massing in mid and you can't outrun anything with that extra speed. Also upgrade speed first so your swords get to the wing faster and can out run enemy clubs if they aren't upgraded yet. Then always upgrade hp before attack (at least always in pre) because the hp of the clubs will not be raised if they are already hurt so its best to upgrade that first so the first few swords actually benefit from it. So i usually go 1 speed 2 attack and 2 hp, I never tried arrow armour really.

In Mid it's better to upgrade attack before HP because then they kill citizens faster.
