Multiplayer LAN Pop Cap Increase Mod?

Hi all, great site for those of us still playing EE 
I am looking for a mod that will allow me to increase the Pop Cap in a LAN Multiplayer game, I have found some old ones like the 5000 and 13200 on EE Heaven but not sure which or how to get them to work for a LAN multiplayer game.
If one exists please point me to it or if possible explain how I can use one of the existing mods to work in a LAN game
We are using v2.0 of Standard Empire Earth game not AOC if that makes any difference, plus also a modded EE exe file for the no cd hack.
I have tried copying the whole EE folder on my PC to the other PC so they are 'exactly' the same but still no joy, it says 1200 max still. Both of the 2 /addons/mods I mentioned above work fine in single player games.
