XP AoC problems

Okay, so I'm supposed to be hosting an EE LAN party today, but waited until now to download this client and install it on all my machines. So far, I've installed on 2 machines (an XP and Win7 machine). The Win7 machine worked fine for AoC. However, when installed on the XP machine, anytime it goes into actual gameplay mode (IE: if I enter a campaign or click 'Random Map', etc) it completely locks up the system (even a forced close doesn't work, I have to reboot the entire machine). I haven't tried on my other systems yet.

However, the original version, on both the XP machine and Win7 machine, keeps coming up with the error 'The procedure entry point ?SendStartConnectMessage@NESynchronousClient@@QAEXPAVNEMessage@@@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library low-level engine.dll'

And, as I install this on a third system (Win7), I get this error again. But, I'm not really worried about this error as much as I am about AoC crashing my XP system. Thanks in advance.
