Population mod

Well, I tried to mod the population in Empire earth... tho it didn't worked out like I wanted.

Step 1: Added the worlds file, without unpacking data.ssa = non-range units bugged

Step 2: Unpack data.ssa = game wont load

Step 3: Copy unpacked data.ssa from Empire earth older = Game crashes...

Any suggestions? I like 16 player games, but I dont like low population limits. :p

(I play from the origional cd and use this for myself only now, multiplayer will begin when the summer ends)

I know you're probably trying to do this with AoC. These files are for EE and generally people have always found bugs with AoC when trying to either create a similar patch or use these patches. You might not be able to get a 100% working pop mod on AoC.

I dont have the db folder where I should place the mod...
When I use the EE studio to make this folder, the game wont run anymore.

Just simply create the DB folder yourself in Windows Explorer (New Folder...). Nothing else should be in it except the mod.

This makes non-ranged units unable to attack and makes ranges units fire very and very fast.

Then unfortunately a population mod for AoC was not meant to be.

I've found this mod that claims to work for AoC in multi, but am having trouble getting it to run, I would appreciate help for anyone willing to look into it.

To actually join the game, then yes all players would need to be using that modification, or all not using it.

To actually have more than normal population in multiplayer, it's not going to work either way.

Hi all,

i tried every poplation mod from ee.heavengames.com. It was not possible for me to increase the population level in multiplayer games. It is still 1200. In singleplayer games it works fine.

We play in LAN mode. Every guy, which play with me has the same version number. But it is still not possible to incease the pop level.

Now it tried the 13200 world population mod +, but the readme file told me that it is required to have version number 1.00.7497. I have 1.00.2657. So the mod didn´t work. It boring to play EE with 8 guys and a population of 1200. We love to play EE. :D

Can anybody help me?

Can't help you with the patch problem, but I remember playing a cb on a roleplayer map with ~400 pop for each player.. was 4vs4. I think it was ww1 or ww2..
You might want to ask one of the "scene-experts".

Ps: it was an euro rp.

Done by triggers which is possible yes, Just hard to explain it to someone who never used the trigger system.

I guess he could just download the scene and then edit the age to whatever he wants.. is this possible?
