edit: downloaded the new lobby update and it works
---
When I try to run the lobby exe I get "Startup error- Please check your internet connection."
When I try to run the lobby update exe I get "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 129.0.0.1.5555."
and when I click continue, the lobby update will run but never updates.
I'm trying all this without any security software running at all.
I've re-downloaded the lobby files already.
Help?

Re: Can't connect to the lobby server
I couldn't last night, but now I can, no problems...
I guess it fixed itself/they were doing lobby stuff.

ah, i was wondering if I should include that. SorryGhost wrote:Please click on the details button and paste the full error here.
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Re: Can't connect to the lobby server
Well I've looked it over... I can't figure it out... it looks like it's having trouble downloading anything from this website (update info, server info, obtaining IP, etc.). What's throwing me for a loop is the localhost IP address, so maybe it's trying to get this information from cache?? Try clearing Internet Explorer's cache, temp files, etc.
So, think of reasons why it can't access this website. Try "Run as Administrator" and make sure a firewall isn't blocking either program. The problem is on your end..

Re: Can't connect to the lobby server
I tried those things, none worked. I have no firewalls or anything running so I'm not sure what else to tryGhost wrote:Well I've looked it over...
