\AoC\win32\Chorus.flt Flagged as trojan by AntiVir
So me and several others are getting a message from AntiVir that this file
(\aocpath\win32\Chorus.flt ) is infected by TR/Iframe.W.15 trojan.
I checked it using:
http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus >> says clear.
So are there other people who get this error?
I think its just another false positive by AntiVir.
(In that case this thread would be usefull for ppl so they don't worry too much )
[Edit:]
It's a false positive, update your definitions and it won't pop up anymore .
You deleted it allready? I Added it (so if others want to be 100% shure its not infected, try it isn't >> unzip it first).

Same problem here..but with EE Classic. I thought that this is a false alert too.

Are you all using the no-cd crack? Seems to only be this AntiVir program that is doing this so it's probably just something in AntiVir's heuristics that are mistaking either the game itself or the crack as a virus.

I am not using the no cd crack. The "chorus.flt" file is part of no cd crack?

No, it's part of normal game files.

So thats what I'm saying. Its probably a false error.
Scanned with new definitions >> It's Clean!
If you have this error update your definitions.

It's unquestionably a false call. The file is part of the game, it's a graphics filter that the EE CD installs.

Way to rez a 9 month old topic, to ask for help with something totally unrelated, AND on your first post. Assuming you are even an EE player, and you have a question regarding EE, then feel free to start your own topic or post in a relevant and current thread. But this isn't the support website for your antivirus software.alshidaa wrote:How do I permanenetly remove a Trojan Horse infection from my windows XP capable laptop? My computer always finds the same cookies and adware and this one Trojan Horse. They go into quarantine automatically, but after hibernating or starting the computer up, on the following sweep, they always reappear. What can I do so that once some items get quarantined they stay there?
