Please help!

Love EE AOC, played it for over 15 years

just bought the game from GOG.com, wanted to play online, downloaded the patch, getting that "invalid CD key" issue.

I've tried everything suggested on these message boards. i even uninstalled the game i got from GOG, and downloaded what seems to be a cracked version from EE Unlimited, and still cant access the online games.

I have 2 icons on my desktop for EEAOC, one opens the game but wont let me access the online lobbies, the other says its searching for loader.exe and wont open.

I really would love to play the game online again and join the community, so if anyone can help me get going that would be great.

Have you tried this?
1. Turn off/put on pause anti-virus program.
2. Download NeoEE patch again.
3. Run the newly downloaded EE Patch.
4. Hit repair CD key.
5. Check if it works now.
6. Then turn anti-virus program back on.
7. Check if it still works.

yea, tried that, fixing cd key doesnt do anything. it just moves the window on to the next screen

reinstalling the patch i get the same error message:

asks me to retry, abort or ignore. hitting ignore is the only thing that continues the download

As far as I'm aware people have only been getting that error if the neoee patch is incomplete. Are you sure your anti-virus program was completely off when you downloaded neoee patch and installed it?

yea, turned off the firewall and everything. unless i have another antivirus running that i dont know about

The Loader.exe is a tool made by me that allows to render the lobby in full resolution. The fact it got deleted is no desaster (lobby will be always rendered in 800x600 then). However, it is not related to the CD Keys. The mere fact that it is missing is a strong indicator though that it got deleted by an antivirus program. The same one that may prohibit to install the CD Key. Please make sure the installer can access the internet (to download a CD Key from NeoEE servers) and is allowed to run.
