Re: [RoK]
It's hard to take you serious Daniel, since U said out to be "a girl" in the WON server days.
Also let me just start out with saying there is many reasons to smurf, not just the fear of loosing.
Let's say I come home from work and are really tired, and just want to play relaxed. If I were under eC Arntzen people would expect me to play like I usually do, but under let's say Todas, they won't expect anything. And make the teams up after who's in the room.
Another point is on GR without other lobby players I've no chance to play games like 4v4 Mid sh. Because firstly they will pick the teams so stacked against me I'd have to be KrasS x2 and secondly it's all about "killing Kazter". I've even played games were I get quadrupled before f11 10. Now, where is the fun in that?
In short I really think it comes down to "what's expected of one". If you've built up a reputation of being good, let's say only by wearing the RoK tag, people expect you to do very good that game. If you're tired or don't really care enough to play with 100% effort smurfing is the only way.
If you mean that a tired person should have played with tag even tho he knew he would play poorly then I feel you've less respect for the clan-tag and what it stands for then me.
Also don't forget about the fun part when you're doing real smurfing and trying your best. Listening to who people thing you are, surprising some dude who were cocky against you since he didn't think "Todas" could own his ass.
Last point: If people get a thrill by smurfing, and it ends up making people more active, then why are you against it?

Well if I can't change my name on gameranger then I'd have to be swapping accounts all the time. From my smurf account, to my gameranger account, to my EE account. Hmm no thanks I've had that time, and not interested doing it again. And Nemo, if you want to be strict with it, I'm okay with that. But that means Heros will lose Steve O aswell.
You cannot make another post so soon after your last.

I also agree with kratzer. But I think the real issue at hand is people jus doing it whenever they want, not when they wanna play casual. I played a smurf yesterday. Didn't say anything bout it he jus came in my game and whooped me pretty good in Indy and mod. I said gg and that was that.

This might be off-topic but I'm curious: How do you know if he was a smurf or not? I mean you're here for a few days now..DRACO wrote:I also agree with kratzer. Re: [RoK]
smurfing is part of ee. a well done smurf is one of my favorite things to see. clans haven't mattered in a long time
i think the only hope for competitive clan matches is if it is small 2v2 stuff.
although you would need open minded players who would play multiple settings and not just a 'liga' or 'mid' ladder if you ever wanted to see an impressive amount of numbers/competition, because quite frankly this game is too dead to have a one sett only ladder/league.
I think 2v2 two games-- each team picks one setting they want and they play.
If you win 2-0 your team gets 3 points
1-1 both teams get 1 point
0-2 you don't earn any points.
Just something I thought would be neat. Have clans make multiple teams or one big team whatever they want, but I don't think 4v4 or 3v3 clan games are in the cards anymore.

Re: [RoK]
I love it when people try get personal, have I offended you Kazter? lol Anyway just saying its nice to play people i actually know. I have played loads of games vs different people. The reason i play so many games is to learn how they play so that i know a counter to it.. simple. If some guy called "john91" joins my game id think kk.. ill play a new strat then they go all out on me then im Efffed.. then all of those years i spent learning a counter strategy for that player is useless! This is what i would liek to see nowadays a game where everyone is known so we know what to expect

Effort only fully releases its reward after a person refuses to quit.

Probably something on the old Ts forums that Slip posted while he was basking in the fumes of his own ego
