whisper to host.

If you have any unique feature requests, post them here! There is already a large to-do list and things will take time to be implemented.
I am no longer taking feature requests due to the limited amount of time I can devote to programming the lobby.

whisper to host.

Post by Lightnessking »

If you right click on a game it says: copy IP adres, but if you want to quick whisper him you have to scroll down list and find his name, thats a bit annoyed when you want to say: wait for me or save me a spot please. So it might be better if we can have a whisper host button after the copy ip button.

It would be useful if the host can whisper you back then....after 10mins...saying...."WELL I SAVED YOU A SLOT WTF ARE YOU? I'VE BEEN KICKING PPL FOR 10MINS?"

Regardless of what Ghost and the others think about putting in a function like this, they may think it's got a cherry on top ofc, it doesn't take long to swap out of lobby into the game...secs only...what are you doing first? I think I'll play that NR3days No Attack HB No Colo No Slingers No Fish DM Gig Conti map.....oh first...I'll have a look at my porn downloads while shouting down to the hall to my mum that I'll take the trash out in 5mins. I better ask host to save me a slot IN CASE I actually decide to play that game.

If the host knows you well enough to save you a slot he'll be up on your friends list surely. Not a lot of scrolling needed there.

Over years of hosting, I've learned through repeated experience, that unless you know the player very well, if they ask you to save them a slot it's prob because they are some mid sh guy wondering if he'll get owned if he plays that mid and maybe he better go get owned in that p2s where he won't get so much abuse...or maybe that Liga looks good..oh it's so hard to decide I'll ask them all to save me a slot so I can paint my toenails and water my hamster while I make up my mind.

Just get in the game. lol

I completely agree.

This feature may be useful for scenarios, though, since they'll often start games using "glitched" players when they do not have enough real players to participate, and you won't be able to join despite there being a lack of actual players.

Then again, if the host doesn't have some ridiculous symbol for the first letter in their name, one can find them very rapidly by clicking on the user list and pressing the first letter of the name repeatedly, say you wanted to find "find me", you'd just keep hitting f until you got to "find me"...

And of course, whispering will not do any good if their sound is disabled because they likely won't catch your whisper before they start in the case of a scenario.
