Prehistoric liga, when you got screwed on food

Post by Omega »

So, you're playing a liga, and it lands in Prehistoric. You pick Austria, obviously.

You then discover you're missing a forage patch, hunt, hippos, or some combination of the previous, and it's serious enough that you'd loose the game if you tried to play a normal strategy.

What do you do? Simple: Forward Tower/Citizen rush. Ensure that you place the tower far enough away not to be spotted by your enemy until it is finished, and also make sure you place it near a food source (preferably a food source they've got a few cits, but not a ton of cits, and NOT a food source they have their tower covering). Your goal is to keep them off food, take out as many citizens as you can before they react, and when they DO react, try and lure their citizens into your tower range to minimize losses.

You'll probably loose, however, you can seriously hurt them and actually have a shot at taking them out. Plus, if you succeed you have the food needed to carry on the game. A much better option than trying to do something with only one hippo for food, and failing.
