Hi guys, this is my first post.
I have been following various forums for finding fixes for EE on Windows 8.1/Intel HD4000 machines. But neither worked for me. Deleting dll files, using the HKEY registry method, even NeoEE patch failed.
I have an HP Envy dv6 running i7 3rd Gen, 8GB, nVidia 630M w/ Intel HD4000.
What I did was, I opened the nVidia control panel, and changed the settings as shown in the images.
I was able to open EE in 800x600 reso, then I went to Options, changed the reso to 1366x768, Best Appearance (but Vsync = OFF) and Direct 3D TnL Hardware ON. And now it's working great! It crashes after playing for 3-4 hours, but I think that's my laptop's issue.
Let me know if it works for anyone else.
Found a possible Win8.1/Intel HD4000 fix [nVidia needed]
