Well,
I found this site, and i didn't know people still played this, but that's awesome.. However, i am having an issue with XP that i can't figure out, since it seems to work fine on Windows 7 Pro X64.
Anyway.
Here is what i have..
Windows XP SP3 all updates
Intel Core2Duo 2.0GHZ X86 processor
4GB DDR2
128GB SSD
Clean fresh install of XP NO AV, No Firewall, No security, since up till i found this site, i was just going to use the machine to play that game local.
512MB Intel Video Card
Realtek Audio
The issue i am having..
When i go to launch the game, i get the Empire Earth Gold screen which is followed by black.. and if i hit esc or the space bar the PC will simply just go back to the desktop..
I have tried a few things..
1. Reinstalled the Game
2. Changed the installation directory and installed the game
3. Deleted the registry keys after an uninstall, then reinstalled again, under yet another named folder.
4. Played with the settings for the Video acceleration, and other portions of the video, lowered resolution..
Nothing seems to help..
Any incite would be great.
Sorry if this is a double post..
Windows XP SP3

It's a Toshiba U305-S2804
Just has a few little tweaks, more memory and a SSD.
Otherwise it is just one of those machines.

Re: Windows XP SP3
You may try to manipulate the graphic settings in the registry, /HKCM/Software/SSSI/Empire Earth or so. Play with VSync, Resolution and such stuff. If that doesn't work either, maybe try some different EE binaries or the NeoEE patch (if not already).
