your version is not the same as the host problem

I'm desperate ... tried to install EE, patch and all the stuff at least 5 times
i always stay with version number 2.00.5038
can't get to version 2.00.6345
would appreciate some help... thx

If you're installing from a CD, I suggest you try downloading EE and installing from the download.

If you're installing from a download, I suggest you re-download EE (preferably from another download other people confirm works) and try with that.

Same goes for the official patches, unless you're just using the lobby to update those in which case don't worry about it.

It would also help to know:
1) After you first install, before you do ANYTHING else, what the full version number read?
2) After you update to version 2.0 before you install ANY other patches or modifications, what does the full version number read?

Here is what solved my version problems. I had to run EE as administrator.
When running EE with Administrator rights i get version 6345.
When running EE without Administrator rights i get version 5038.
