Problem at installing Empire Earth

Hi,
my friends and me want to play together empire earth, but one of them cant install the game.
we downloaded the automatic installer from here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4889
everyone been able to install it correctly but the one guy have following problem:
he starts the exe, the black screen arrives. But the installer doesnt pop up. And he is also not able to install it manually, there occur than some weird bugs.

He is running win7 64.

Maybe someone had the same issue allready and have a solution :S.

Have he tried to install EE with EE Unlimited?

Here is a video of me installing EE with EE unlimited. This is in english, but you should download the german version if you want that.
