Well thanks for the advice, and being on the EE community in general. But I am on the same computer where i was able to host at a different location. i did notice some of the IP's were odd. like the first one would be 1093:08:EFZw:095T:0056
Thats just a random example but it looks like that, but below it there is a normal IP that i use instead

The top one you're talking about is IPv6. Just ignore it and pick the other one which is IPv4.

Ghost, no offense, but if you read my posts im trying to find the other problem, because just forwarding my ports and all that isn't working. Do you know about any other problems or reasons why i would not be able to, aside from the obvious, forward ports/firewall/trying to do it in LAN, instead of DC.
Maybe there are certain routers that just wont let you host no matter what?

Sorry, last post I didn't realize this was the second page.

Try plugging your computer straight into the modem... if it works then it's your router. If not, you may have a modem or ISP firewall. If it's a modem/router combo then see if your ISP will give you something else. Otherwise you may be screwed and have to bitch at your ISP.

Thank you so much man, that was it. i plugged directly into my modem but it wouldnt work, but there was an option to forward ports in my modem config, 33334-3336, tcp and udp and now i can host.
Thanks for the help
