Having difficulty with the direct connect patch

Having difficulty with the direct connect patch

Realizing that I couldn't play online without the patch I followed the instructions printed here

pages.php?p=lobby-guides#patch

When i got the patch, the server said it was completed but also showed a 0/0 for the download itself.

Then when I went to EE and it said that it was "unable to locate master server check your internet connection" the same problem happened with Aoc

the problem is that the WONLobby.cfg says that "CDkeycheck: false" And I know I've updated EE to to version 2.1 so Its not the patch. After about an hour of tinkering with the thing I've given up completely on trying to be competent and is requesting help.

Multiplayer -> Other Multiplayer -> Direct Connection -> Add
