im having trouble with the right build so im not getting killed by rushes .

assuming you are talking about sh

use this civ

iron mining
hunting and foraging
cit hp/speed
infantry sword attack/cr/hp/speed
pop cap
building cr/range
siege range range


build order

i press h(capitol) make a dog and then press shift+c(5 citizens)
i get 8 citizens put them in group 1(crtl 1) hit L(explore)
pick civ
make 2 barracks with your 12 citizens 6 on each barrack
by the time your barracks are made, your citizens on explore have found your resources
be sure to put your barracks in group 2(crtl 2) for easy access make clubman soon as barracks are done building.
press "1" to select your 8 citizens bring them back to your cap
send the 12 that made your barracks to iron 6 on each iron
then the 8 on explore use 3(citizens) on 2 towers, and 1(citizens) on 2 towers
also the citizens being made from your capitol the first one makes 2 houses
the rest go to wood until towers are made then after that i would begin to rally on a forage patch
use the citizens that made towers to eat your hippos or hunt(lure a hippo to a settlement or capitol then kill it) only kill 1 hippo make sure to always have one left to breed same with all hunt do this until you are copper at least.

tips

hotkeys help a lot to most players some don't use em but most do so they are nice to learn.
force dump your resources aka click on citizen and then click on settlement so he drops his resources at like 6/15 instead of 15/15. do that often esp on your food and iron.
morale is very important try and get 6 houses asap, but don't forget a temple.
i would upgrade speed fist if you are playing defensive 12+4, later you can get 12+5 if you desire.
don't fight out of your morale(the blocks under your units) morale is very very important
run your citizens around towers and through your army



that is all I can think of right now i got work very soon my lobby screen name is zeke if you see me on whisper me and i can explain more or even show you if you can host. this is my own start it works for me i'm not claiming it to be the best, but it certainly isn't the worst it is kind of vague i apologize for that, but i kind of typed this quickly. good luck hope this helps you.

have to dl stuff, and its p2s but pretty much same start
there is also a vid so you can see how the start works

but like i said its p2s so building placement would be different because or medi or conti map being used on eec rather than plains with aoc uses

edit: the civ is the same i use on eec though
