A ranking suggestion in progress.

I ACTUALLY want some kind of vote on these 2 options regarding the ranking system:

A) Leave the ranking and their points forever untouched
:

Leaveing them untouched is bad in my opinion. Do as Starcraft and make seasons. Season 1 will be with the first rules we came up with. Season 2 we do changes that we think can make the ladder better etc etc. I think in start we have to try and fail some times before we get it properly working. And if we eventually are very happy with how the forumla/rules are we can make the seasons every 1-12 month, depending on what people want.
Also if we leave it untouched some are probably gonna go so far ahead that there is no point anymore.

Addition: I'd listen to Nemo and Omega very carefully and take as much as you can from them, they know what their talking about

I know right! I came up with the options because i was thinking about a monthly, or 3-monthly periods, and that it was way cooler aswell!

And yes, Omega and Nemo, but i think it's not the smartest move to just listen to them, because they know what theyre talking about. I also know theyre pretty kick ass at some settings, so i got no input from lower skilled players yet, Which would be pretty bad to only listen to the voice of pros.. Wouldn't it?
I also want to make it a challange, a relaxing website and a project for those lower skilled players, so it will help them.. in the sense so they will have a sense where they are, and it might even push them to be better and be up there with the Omega's and the Nemo's
Thanks for you're input. I don't want to put you in a shy mode but also you, yes you Kazter knows where you are talking about so i might need you for some hints, tips and tricks for the GameRanger part later on!

I'd agree with kaz on the voting issue there. 1 month period seems okay, u could also do 2 or 3 months but it'd be bad to keep it going forever imo.

I hope the point system u come up with will be good, and yes probably good to get input from as many people as possible.

And omega's idea with ladder based tournaments is absolutely something that would be a fantastic. You can use the ladder as a "world ranking" and like tennis matches use seedings in the tournaments to get better finals. And agree with everything else omega said

Hey whatsup fellas!

Well, to be honest i've been thrown in a really inconvient schedule for work this week so that kind of stepped upon my path of working on the whole idea.
Im afraid the schedule is going to eat of my free time so in order to keep making progress i hope i can do some work in it this week.

As of the promiss of games this week, i told you guys to not pin me down on it, didn't i?
Aswell as i come with the announcement that it will probably take some more time.. i can't say when but i'll be ''inventing'' it on my computer clientside and will put it online with a new newsflash as soon as think it's up for games!
