Yeah but how many people are going to go straight persians? Cata with elephant archers will beat any combination of persians with anything else.

Kinda true, elephant archers are beast but expensive. In combination with cata's you would counter any arrow type. Even if they combine perses with comp bow or charioteers they would still win I think.

Elephant archers used to be used alot years ago aint seen them so much now days they are pretty ownage. But what you gonna do when persians are in your base from the start of game hitting and running your eco wild your gonna struggle to even think of elephant arch mix lol. I normally swap to Cata as soon as i own my wing with persians to own pocket. But depends how good you if you wanna try different strats but if you aint that good stick to basic`s

True, but I'm more talking about getting the elephant archers AFTER you got a few perses. If you got the resources, it might be better getting an archery range instead of 2nd stable and pump out elephants.
Tho I'm not a full worthy liga player and I don't even know all basics for every epoch, so I could be wrong

Expand cata/knight civ with archer ups and siege ups and field cannon ups. Also has cav range in his civ.

He once mixed every (middle aged) units possible in 1 game besides rams... lol

Back then when I didn't know what ctrl move did and still won 1v1's vs his cata/knight mix... (Also didn't force feed, and only used ctrl group for army.)

We are now talking about Nino performing cata/knight civ in AoC mid. (Wing or pocket is irrelevant since he did cata/knight ANY game.)

Really Kazter just totally missed to point, cataphracts wipe out all infantry and virtually every unit other than persians, but persians have a lot of counters, making cata super incredible in dark, ESPECIALLY with the patch.

Also Nino is pretty horrible, I beat him 5 games in a row pure swords vs pure knights.
