Is anyone else ready for the return of tr00 RTS in a few months?

Yes! The random map announcement made me very happy. It is something that most RTS games overlook these days but was one of the most important features that made Empire Earth the greatest.

That's odd, I thought that they are still accepting new testers. I got into it mid September.

It is a really awesome new RTS coming Q1 next year, influenced by EE, AoE, etc. Check YouTube for official videos.

They better have a good hotkey system like EE. age of empires was really bad on this.

AOE is much better since they let you customize your hotkeys to what you want!

AOE2 or 3 perhaps, not AOE1. But even then, you can't shift + hotkey to add multiple units together.

Most modern RTS use QWERTY based hotkeys for everything, which gets kind of confusing because so many different things use the same hot keys. Empires Apart does have some flexibility though, like I was able to make 'TAB' my idle citizen key because that is obviously what I am most used to doing.

I am going to give it a try. Wonder how the multiplayer will be. Has anyone tried the beta yet? Sadly no custom civs, that basically made wow. Let me know if you guys buy it and we can play a few games.

About to check it out. it's downloading. If the multiplayer is decent and fun I'd be up for some games to show those young people how to properly play rts games..

Edit: It seems pretty fun. Tiny player base (or I'm too retarded to find eneies?), yet, but the multiplayer is pretty good. Reminds me a lot of of mid tl matches on EE.

Check out the "official" discord. Just google it and it should take you there. The playerbase is small but most people play ranked right now and not much MP. There are some bugs but hopefully the game becomes more balanced and less glitchy through patches

Its not even that glitchy. There are some unfixed crashes that remain but nothing that really affects play while the game is up. MP games are usually arranged through Discord outside of queue ranked games. Most people in ranked are playing as France right now so hopefully the newest patch fixes that.
