Disappearing Units
Well I finally got this game to install and actually launch which was an adventure to say the least...and now when I start a game the citizens are half invisible from like the waist up and flash in and out. The same thing happens with buildings and other units. I have tried it on all different video settings and am running ee aoc with both patches applied for ee. My video card is a ATI Mobility Radeon 2600, which I am updating the newest drivers for now. Ive tried running the game with compatibility mode set to vista, xp and 2000 to no success. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem ive been trying to get this game working again for weeeeeks lol

Re: Disappearing Units
Sounds like a video card problem. Do you have difficulty playing any other games on this computer?

Re: Disappearing Units
Thats definitely a video card error.
Step 1) Go to ati.amd.com and download the newest driver (or whereever else has your driver) and DON'T INSTALL IT YET.
Step 2) Download Driver Cleaner Pro at http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=745
Step 3) Uninstall your ATI driver.
Step 4) Restart
Step 5) Run driver cleaner pro for ATI and everything else ATI.
Step 6) Restart
Step 7) Install new driver
Step Restart and enjoy.
100% foolproof way to install drivers correctly.

Re: Disappearing Units
eh, nvidia does it too.
This is just a case of an improperly installed driver.

Re: Disappearing Units
Lack of RAM, a proper video card would solve that yes.taco wrote:just putting it out there, but the same happens to me when i deal with 400+ units at the same time attacking is that also my vid card, or is that just the old game?

Re: Disappearing Units
Idk bin, i have 2GB of RAM, and a somewhat modern videocard. Yet, over 400 units in the same area i still get patches of disappearing units. I'm pretty certain it's the game..

Re: Disappearing Units
