Server Question

Post by McSLdr »

What type of server do you have run the client? or w/e

(i.e. tech specs, os, etc...)

If you could maybe hint at how it works?

I don't know why I'm asking this really, I'm just wondering how the stuff I use on a daily basis works. :O

It's a virtual private server that we purchase from a hosting company. We can log into it remotely and it's just like any other computer, except it's "virtual," meaning that the OS is being emulated and shares one actual computer with several other virtual OSs.

On the server we just run an application which acts as the lobby server, handling connections from people who run the client.
