I was told by some players that this guy uses hex civ, so I jumped into a game with him to get proof (assuming he's not stupid enough to cheat against me, this is usually a long shot). He decided to cheat anyway.

this guy is funny, hes not even denying it when you talk with him about it and in his opinion, he does not find its cheating because he also consumes 100 points

In case I happen to be in one of these 8 player games where he's in. How do I see his civ he's using to see if he was cheating or not?

The Host Can take Quicksave , or you can also do it with AutoSave.

You can load as him with Scen editor , or download Drexmod.

The user plautus will be banned for 1 month.

I don't think you can see someone's civ with scen editor. The only thing that I know works is load the save with drexmod and make sure someone else is loaded on the person who you expect of using the hex civ (change to same color, make sure the player was not in the saved game originally). Then after it loads just check the civ and its pretty easy to figure out if there are any double occurrence.

what if this isnt his civ and he was banned unfairly? It's still no proof. Anyone can hex civ, make a screenshot and upload it here blaming someone for cheating. I fought him yesterday he played legitly

It's not cheating. The developer just forgot to add the feature to use a bonus twice. And I correct that . What we can do is I tag my games as (fully customizable civs allowed), I already had that idea before, just didn't do it, bc I didn't expect it bothering u guys so much.
So if that's ok for u we can do it that way.
But the ban I find a bit unfair. So I ask u kindly to unban me.

If the devs forgot something, then it is to check during civ load that no civ bonus has been applied twice by manipulating the civ files.
Hex civs are and always have been considered as cheats in EE Online, ever since the Sierra servers.

You can do that. But it is against the rules. If someone in these games decides to report you and presents the evidence, you will get punished. I don't have the time and the will to do further research whether cheating in some particular game was consensus or not. The NeoEE TOUs are explicit about that:

Im totallyy surprised by the ban, I wasnt informed it was cheating, so I kept using my customized civs a couple times, believing it was allowed.
So neo consideres it as cheating?
