EE crash on start up

Hello, sorry to come in with another "EE won't work" topic but I've reached the limited extend of my ability to figure things out on my own.

I'm running Win7 64 bit and currently using the game version you can directly download from the neoee website.(other versions were tried previously)

Starting the game I get the EEneo logo and then it crashes with windows crash report(Empire Earth.exe has stopped working)
