Hello everyone , I was most troubled when i found out EE was dropped, but then I have found new hope in this site.

I am having some trouble getting started though, please see my post:

Sounds like you are short the Direct Connect patch. For EE you must first install the 2 updates 1.04 and 2.0. If you have already done so then you just need the DC patch. For AoC you will also need the DC patch. In the lobby you will see a tab at the top that says "Patch", click it. This will bring up a "Browse for Folder" pop-up window. In it search for, and click on, your EE or AoC folder. Then just click the "OK" button. Make sure you restart your EE or AoC game afterward if you had it up during the install of this patch.
