for every starting epoch theres a new cost... at least in tourney. so u need for tourney and standard.. and for all different starting epochs. and u could go on with easy/medium/hard. which would make it more than 28

OK, Captain Nemo ,

This one is for medium difficulty starting at prehistoric and ending in space age. I do realize that it changes when you start in different epoch's. But I like to start out at the beginning of time. And I play against the computer. However I would like to try some online games, But have never tried it. Just got back into playing this again since 2003. I was going through some old software and came upon my second disk of The Art of Conquest and was reminded of how much I enjoyed playing this back then.

FYI it's exactly the same for easy/medium/hard difficulty. It's like saying "this is for plains map".

When it comes to standard settings this is actually the only one needed (for the common settings at least) since the only setting in standard that uses different epochs start in pre and goes through all ages.

BUT knowing the different costs in tournament from different ages would be helpful for ligaplayers. Tho, most know how much the first epoch up will cost from almost all ages. Guess this would fall under the "ee-nerd" category :D

Anyway thanks SteveC for sharing.

PS: I'm pretty sure I've seen something simular to this on these forums before tho.

Thanks Arntzen
I looked for this information on this site when I first found the site and could not find it on the site. That is what brought me to the web site to begin with. Playing against the computer on random maps it is nice to be able to glance down and see what I am going to need to epoch up while in the heat of battle. As I like to play on tiny maps with large islands witch put you real close to the enemy but gives you enough time to create defense enough to preserve you Civilization.
