I don't think islands games should be left out. P2N Islands might take too long unless both players agree but I think if someone has experience in islands games then they should be allowed to use that to their advantage to climb up the hill or to stay at the top. For example, I've played a lot of WW2 and Mod Islands (SH/DM) so I'd want to use those setts (if I played). Maybe some other people feel the same?

Definitely agree on islands games. They're pretty fun.
What about Ren DM? Dark DM? Both are way more fun and complex than Indy DM IMO. Even Nano DM beats Indy DM as far as I'm concerned. There are also people who are partial to WW1/WW2 DM as well, because air is pretty trashy, leading to much more of a land battle.

this may be all right but since theres really zero DM games on NeoEE we could simply stay with the setts actually played( Mod/Mid DM is seen very rarely). Unless you guys sign up and actually play

What would the settings be for a ww2 island game for DM and SH?
Staying with the settings actually played is a horrible idea. KOTH is not only to bring some competition into EE, but also for people to explore the game and try out new settings! WW2 and Mod SH Islands is small islands, 20 cits, medium for 2v2 and either small or medium for 1v1 depending on the type of game you want. If you're going to set a standard you might want to test just loading up a game to see what the spacing is like. Usually your starting island should be able to fit 2 or 3 full farms and still have some room left over. Ideally you want middle islands, which is what makes the sett really interesting and fun, but this may not always happen the best way in 1v1
WW2 and Mod DM Islands is tournament islands, 20 cits (as opposed to 5 cits on plains), similar map size as above
Fill in the rest of the gaps like a normal single epoch plains SH/TL game... reveal map, cc's, lock teams, max pop, etc.

1 thing im still not sure about. Does the challenged player HAS TO ACCEPPT a challenge or can he also simply denie it.
You kinda have to, but if you don't have time or simply don't want to drop out of the 3v3/4v4 game you're in for 1v1 games you can agree on a time when both can play.

Capucchio challenged me, but lost 3-1. I won the liga game, he chose middle and won. I chose Mod DM and won, and then he chose Mid TL and lost.

After I challenged Myst and won 3-0. He picked Middle and grenwar for game number two and three.
