How active do you need it to be?
Do like calv and them did, join lobby start hosting and suddenly alot of people were playing it. Many mid players play alot of settings now.. but if they see mid game they maybe drop out of the p2n and join you guys! I'm also interessted in seeing you beat sword without BTD Seizmic.

Well, we'd like to play some consistent 4v4s at peak times for sure. As for seeing me do anything these days, highly unlikely as my skill level is probably at the depths of mediocrity right now, imo though, ask me about an expert sword rusher and I'll probably beable to tell you about the time I beat them with no BTD, expan cavs in a 1v1. Is Calv still about these days?

Let me be objective here. It doesnt matter who you or anyone have beaten useing "this and that" civ. Hell, I've beaten players much much better than me. This does not proove shit. I'm argueing BTD on CA is better vs Sword then no BTD. In theory both should die to swordrush, unless we're talking awesome micro (KrasS comes to mind). But BTD civs gives you a better chance. When it comes to expan civs where BTD is really expensive I would not recommend it. Here I would use a dogstart and get persians. If you are however _HAVE_ to go CA and Expan then I find this civ to be the better choice: Expan, CA btd att spd range and Eco Gold WC.
So again, I'm argueing BTD is better vs swords then non BTD.

What works on paper doesn't neccessarily work in practice, take communism for instance. Define how BTD on cavs is better than no BTD otherwise I can't really address your points, better in what way?

I've already explained why Elite isn't someone to look to for advice on what works and what doesn't in regards to mid sh etc.

His whole opinion is "You can't mass enough cavs without BTD so it's suicide not to have BTD" I could go into detail about why he's wrong but I really can't be bothered, as I said before, I played against the best slut rushers of my time and won against them on a consistent basis with expan cavs, no btd. Elite was one of the people I'd consistently beat infact.

on a large map a pocket pf swords will easially be beaten if you got your army at home. problem is most often u don't have.

Also Ill agree with seizmic that the balance between swordslut vs ca is tipped in ca's direction on aoc with exp... at least some can make it work extremely well.

Path swords are really only good for base-rapes. If you don't intend to use them like that you're better off just rushing from the pocket with non-exp or going expan swords.

Seiz the last time I played you sword vs. CA was like 4 years ago. The only way you can win without BTD that I can see is to keep them so distracted with your first few cav that you can get a decent mass before they blob your base. Also your color of choice is really fucking annoying to play against.

Also you can make a CA civ with exp. and btd that works pretty well 1v1, you don't need gold mining so much with exp.
